
The security expert and Interpol Consultant Sir Chikwe Udensi has called for political solutions towards the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Udensi who was reacting to the continuous incarceration of the IPOB leader noted that the Federal government by the insistent on obeying the Appeal Court orders for Kanu’s release has violated the International and State Laws and must be ready to face the dire consequences of such actions.
When confronted by the question about the federal government’s insistent on the release of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu, Udensi state that the Federal Government ought to have obeyed the court order as the continuous incarceration of Kanu will create more problems in the country as the reason for the crisis bedeviling the South East today could not be unconnected with Kanu’s Incarceration.
“The insecurity in the South East today is connected to the detention of Nnamdi Kanu.”
“I urge the Supreme Court to ensure the orders of the Appeal Court is obeyed as it’s lawful to make sure the right thing is done.”
“We urge the supreme court to ensure the Appeal Court orders are respected,the concern of the government it’s not in place of the DSS or the Attorney General to determine if the release of Nnamdi Kanu is a flight risk but the concern of the law.”
He added that the government’s insensitivity on the issues has created difficulties in ensuring the healing Nigeria requires at the moment as the Federal government has violated international and state laws.
While reacting to the recent security in the country he says the United States security information on a possible attack in the country has been regular as the records from the United States Embassy’s intelligence seems to be more superior because of the quality of personnel.
Udensi attributed the issues militating against intelligence gathering in the country to the inability of government to wipe out the miscreants from the identified arears through intelligence reports, adding that those security agencies are lacking all the necessary equipments and the use of technology in order to help them carry out their activities effectively.
He maintained that the dangers in the country especially in Abuja is imminent following the release of some 66 Boko Haram terrorists from Kuje Prison , Abuja.
He wondered why government has failed to take action in flushing those terrorists inspite information on identified arears where they use as hideouts across the country as every intelligence reports about their hideouts in Kuje,Gwagwalada,Abuja,Kogi and Nasarawa forests were given.
Udensi added that his attempts to sell some vital strategic security ideas to the Abia State government about the bandits hideouts in Okigwe ,Umunneochi areas,Isiukwato ,Enugu and Anambra axis suffered set back as such was not seriously addressed by the government in a proactive measure.
He frowned at the assurances by the security agencies and Federal Government, adding that a lot of lip services are paid to security in the country.
The security expert further stressed that the government is not paying attention to the issues of insecurity as there is lost of interest in the fight to nib it in the bud.
He said it’s worrisome that insecurity is on the increase in Nigeria ,while maintaining that the national firearms act of 1958 permits every individual that meets with the criteria to carry arms.
He said the need has arrived for responsible citizens to carry arms since there’s no end in sight with the recent insecurity in the country.
“If for some reasons the security apparatus in the country cannot help anybody especially when it has to do with personal security what is the alternatives?
“Our security apparatus in the country today cannot help us,that is what created this emergency for individuals to start commenting , insisting that we should be armed.”
“If you look at the national firearms act of 1958,it allows every individual that meets the criteria to carry firearms though some categories of firearms .”
The ideas of every Nigerian bearing arms as suggested by general T.Y Danjuma is timely looking at the situation on ground,he advocates for responsible citizens of the country to carry arms.
Reacting to the recent dissollution of aides by governor Okezie Ikpeazu , Udensi noted that it is mockery and shameful for such people who bring facts and feedback about issues within the society to governor for possible solutions are to be laid off in such a manner inspite recieving meagre salaries.
He said that Abia State government has the capacity to do better ,judging from the progress other neighbouring states are making like Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom are making at present.
He called on government to ensure Aba is turned around massively and effectively by those who have the capacity in order to restore it’s pride of place as the commercial nerve center of the South East.
“We have the capacity to do better in Abia State and Aba should be turned around massively and effectively by those who have that capacity.”
The International Philanthropy Award has requested the recipient of the award ,Sir Chikwe Udensi to nominate Three rural areas where $250,000 will be invested into humanitarian activities.
The idea for giving Udensi the award is conceived basically on his contributions in humanity,having gone through his recent activities and profile over the years as a Philanthropist.
About Three Communities will benefit from the International donor agencies as recommended by the security expert.
