Security Expert and Interpol Consultant Sir Chikwe Udensi has stressed the need for Nigerians to ensure that good leadership is entroned at both National level .

He said the people of Abia in particular should be more concerned about the bad governance which has impoverished the State as the 2023 election drew close.

Udensi who was speaking during a Radio Programme monitored by newsstarlet added that the issues associated with insecurity in the country must be tackled through effective leadership as the people must be prepared to change that by voting rightly during the election.

“We must be concerned about how best we can take away the horrible thing we have at the national level and the horrible management of the affairs of Abia State.”

He said that the Thirty One Trillion naira from the budget by the Federal government will never address the needs of the common man as the problems that have arisen within the Seven Years of the current Buhari’s administration failed to bring succour to the Country and couldn’t address the problems in various areas.

He noted that insecurity witnessed in the country in so many places like Churches and government facilities posed a major obstacle towards development as many investors were discouraged due to lack of conducive business atmosphere in the country.

While he maintained that poverty was at the increase in the same government that promised to do so much to alleviate poverty in the country.

Udensi also added that unemployment issues was also not addressed as government failed to create enablers for private sectors to function very well.

The projects in Abia State according to him(Udensi) were not executed transparently while reacting to the recognition of Abia State by World Bank over the State’s good performance in Financial Transparency and Accountability as the State fical Transparency and Accountability Project were applauded.

In his words: “I don’t know where the transparency and accountability World Bank is talking about is coming from because what they’re saying is far from the truth.”

He further advised Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to show some level of openess and transparency to Abians over the expenditure on projects executed in the State in terms of financial allocation from the Federal Allocations in the State as well as the internally generated revenue.
