Ndi Ohuhu of late have been experiencing excruciating decline in their socioeconomic profile.
However, it’s political status has not fared well either.
Lethargy, selfish interests and political balkanization have relegated Ohuhu people to the lower rungs of government neglect and under representation.
Unfortunately, no one cares a hoot any long as the deterioration assumes alarming proportion on daily basis.
Ohuhu’s political prospects have been orphaned to parochial interests, avarice and localization of political strife and bickerings.
The celebrated “Onye aghala nwanne ya” mantra, as enunciated by the late colossus,M I Power has now become obsolete and unworkable.
We were forced to play subservient roles in the political scheme of things.
Pitiably,Ohuhu land, which hitherto was a home to political heavyweights, has now been reduced to the abode of paper tigers whose voices have been muted hopelessly.
Despairingly, Ohuhu’s socioeconomic fortunes deteriorated so badly that we are having in our hands, spiralling economic deficits, dilapidated infrastructure, giant-sized poverty walking on four legs and army of restive unemployed youths battling with despondency and drug abuse and it’s debilitating consequences.
But this ugly scenario may not persist for long because,a concerted search for competent political leadership that will drive competence and all inclusiveness is in the offing.
What Ndi Ohuhu needed at this auspicious time was a crop of dedicated, selfless patriots who will galvanize us to relaunch our relevance back in the political spectrum.
Partisan and tribal nuances should not be prominent template in this onerous assignment, rather they will take up the cudgel to strike out under development in Ohuhuland once and for all.
High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia has defiantly taken the position to align with like mind patriots to reposition Ohuhuland in the new political and economic re-awakening.
His love for Ndi Ohuhu is deep and pervasive and have never meandered from the path of actuazing his dream of making Ohuhu economically bigger and attractive.
He has really shown in words and deeds that the task of moving Ohuhu forward is a surmountable task that needed the co operation of all.
The late Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia made this exhilarating remark once that, “When people understand a cause, become prepared for that cause and see glory in such suffering, it is indeed just impossible to suppress them or the cause they stand for”
In retrospect, Ndi Ohuhu wouldn’t need a prophet to tell them how much they have suffered over political negligence and deprivations and are ready to pursue a rewarding cause that would reposition their lives more better.
Surely, High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia is the harbinger of the new glory and honour in Ohuhuland.
TEAM NWA-ABIA.
