Speaks on the visit of Professor Uche Ikonne
An Interpol Systems Consultant,Sir Chikwe Udensi has broken silence on the Visit of the Peoples Democratic Party Guber Candidate Prof Uche Ikonne at his residence in Abuja.
Udensi stated that they had interactions which was all about topical issues within the country and Abia State contrary to speculations that he’s now pitching tent with the PDP.
“I had the privilege of having Prof Ikonne visit me at my house in Abuja , it was a great honour for me and I was pleasantly surprised and I’m very glad he came.”
“We discussed State and National issues and in the course of our discussion I was able to know the man a little bit more than I had known him.”
“This stories I had eventually in few places -people asking if Udensi was now begining to go with PDP or supporting PDP is not true.”
Recall,the Presidential Candidate,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Raulf Aregbesola amongst others had also visited him,the reaching out according to Udensi is a healthy omen which should often be seen amongst Nigerian irrespective of political inclinations.
“I also expressed to him (Prof Ikonne) the problems we have as regards his sponsors,I told him that everybody in Abia State knows he’s been sponsored by PDP and the governor.”
“The truth be told without sounding any immodest , we’re not happy with the PDP in Abia State,in fact people are fed up with PDP. if you ask me and if somebody is coming from PDP ,the tendency is that the anger would be that it will be the same old story.”
Udensi who was speaking in a Radio Programme monitored by newsstarlet on Wednesday,17 November 2022 ,described Prof Ikonne as a very modest person , intelligent humble man and not a regular politician and he expressed his desires to do a different thing in Abia State if elected governor, Udensi said.
“I’m happy that Ikonne visited me,he came as a very modest and humble man not like every other politician.”
“He is a very intelligent man and articulated properly and I was impressed at the level of his intelligence.”
Sir Chikwe Udensi further expressed disappointment with the Anambra State governor Charlse Soludo over his recent outburst against the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi .
“I’m glad now that people now know that Peter Obi is not an Anambra candidate but a national candate.”
The APGA Chieftain added that the utterances of Anambra Governor Prof Charlse Soludo was very unfair.
“I know Peter very well Peter does not play to the galary.”
He added that Soludo’s other argument that Peter Obi’s investment is worthless is very unfair looking at the achievements of the former Anambra State governor in terms of infrastructural development in the State whereas other State governors were being indicted for one fraudulent act other the other while in service.
The Interpol Consultant maintained that Peter Obi deserves commendations not condemnation for making investments in Anambra State,while other State governor were charged with embezzlement , citing examples of some governors with emphasis on governors of Abia State whom he said have acquired State properties and allocated to themselves.
He added that the trajectory in the country will change with the emergence of Peter Obi as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that Obi is the man of destiny whose ambition is divine .
“I’m not particularly supporting Peter Obi because he’s an Igbo person, I’m supporting him because of competence.”
“It is true the Igbos are independent people but he’s a man of destiny.”
“I have that in my mind that the trajectory in the country will change if Peter Obi becomes President .”
Udensi called on Nigerians to cue in to vote Peter Obi because his call is divine , judging from the wave of acceptability today in the country.
“What is going on today is not even Peter Obi,God supretends all affairs of men and I believe that this time,the choice of Labour Party is God’s choice and everyone should cue in.”
The Court ruling in Abia State gubernatorial Primary election of the All Progressive Grand Alliance will be delivered on the 1st of December,2022 to determine the authentic candidate of the party.
