The new Transition Chairman of Umuahia South Local Government Area,Bar.Nnachebe Uhiara has promised to unite Umuahia South LGA and also work for the victory of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming election.
Bar.Uhiara made this disclosure during a grand reception in his honour with Stakeholders of Umuahia South , shortly after the inauguration and official handover at the local government secretariat in Ubakala.
The Mayor promised to carry everyone along in order to bring impactful leadership for the progress of the area.
He expressed optimism that Umuahia South under his leadership will recover massive votes for the PDP recalling that history of winning has never failed anybody from Olokoro community appointed in transitional Committee during election .
The grand reception at Sacramento event Center, witnessed the presence of Stakeholders of Umuahia South Local Government Area as they spoke highly of the loyalty, humility and hardworking nature of Bar.Nnachebe Uhiara .
They encouraged others to emulate his endearing qualities for the development of their various communities.
Bar.Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State government,also called on Umuahia South LGA to ensure they work for the success of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming election so that dividends of democracy can come to them in terms of appointments and other benefits which comes from the government.
Bar.Jerry Uzosike,the member Representing Umuahia South State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly during his speech,pledged support for the new mayor as he advised him to ensure the unity of the LGA.
Chief Tony Ukasanya commended the government’s efforts in identifying with the best Umuahia South LGA has to offer ,described Bar.Uhiara as a truthful and sincere character who was chosen to steer the affairs of Umuahia South LGA based on exemplified humility.
Former Member Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency,Uluocha Ibeji, Pastor Emeka Inyama, Chairman Abia Warriors , Sir Tony Ezebuiro, Ndukwe Adindu,Chief Charles Ekwueme, traditional rulers in Umuahia South Local Government Area and other PDP stalwarts graced the occasion.
