The Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzo Kalu has called on Nigerians to support the ongoing reform of President Bola Tinubu in repositioning the Country.
Kalu was made the call while receiving Chief Kelvin Jombo a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party into the All Progressives Congress in Abiriba.
He acknowledged that APC is the largest party in the Country inspite smear campaign about the Party by the opposition.
Orji Uzo Kalu however believe that reforms are not easy in any part of the world but maintained that the hard decisions of President Bola Tinubu will eventually benefit everyone at the long run.
“We are the largest party in Nigeria forget what people are saying in the media. reforms are very difficult and it took me Three years to get a grip of Abia as a governor and I know that people are hungry just give us little time to put things in order”.
He urged the Abiriba People to support Kelvin Jombo in his future plans for them , saying that APC will take its rightful place in other States like Abia and Enugu.
“We’re going to build a strong partnership and I urge you to support Kelvin Jombo and everything about the Party not only here in every other place in Abia and Enugu will be APC”.
“We’re not going to allow anybody to deceive us”. “We’re going to work for the well-being of our people”.
“You all know me as someone who work for the common people”.
The Billionaire businessman , Chief Kelvin Jombo in his acceptance speech at the Abiriba Stadium,thanked the leadership of the APC for creating the platform for everyone present during the declaration , saying it was the will of God for him to join the party at the time.
He further expressed believe that Abiriba, Nkporo Arochukwu and Ohafia will be fully APC.
He promise to bring value and dividends of Democracy to the Party and for the befit of his people.
Ikechi Anya who was received into the party, expressed joy at the reception into the party saying that it is the beginning of new things in Abiriba
Also speaking,Otuwe Orji Kalu who affirms that Abiriba,Nkporo in Ohafia is APC maintained that dividends of Democracy is assured with Senator Orji Uzo Kalu as the Senator of Abia North.
Former Commissioner for Transport, Nnenna Obewu who described the day as a great day in Abiriba APC said there can never be a successful voting without Women.
She expressed excitement at the defection of Chief Kelvin Jombo whose presence she said is an added advantage to the party.
The Abia State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Kingsley Onunugbu thanked Kelvin Jombo for the decision to join the party will not be fruitless, adding that Abiriba is the best party to be in at the moment .
Prince Emma Nwosu the LGA APC Chairman who was earlier speaking in his address said the Party was happy to accept new members into the party with the party also taking steps for reconciliation to make the party One and stronger ahead of 2027 election.
“We stand here as a people of Ohafia to accept new members into our party as One United and strong party in Ohafia with reconciliation inniated by our Chairman Kingsley Onunugbu”.
He expressed confidence that the calibre of people they’re welcoming to the party will help the party by making it stronger to win the upcoming election of 2027.
