The Ibeku New Yam Festival has been fixed for the 28 of August 2023.
According to Ochiagha Oparaukwu Ibeku Prince Benjamin Benedict Apugo,the year 2023 New Yam Festival will be celebrated in a very colourful way because the bad system of government inherited over 24 years in Abia State has been removed.
“The 2023 is quit different” .
“This year’s New Yam Festival will be celebrated in a very colourful way because we were able to remove the bad government that existed here for 24 years all of us are happy”.
“We’ll have everything to celebrate for that day, everybody is invited”.
He urged the Youths of Ibeku to ensure a trouble free celebration by avoiding violence.
Prince B.B Apugo added that it is inheritance of him to uphold the traditional rites.
