I Patronize Made In Aba Products – Udensi

Sir Chikwe Udensi in his usual contributions to the most topical issues within Nigeria and across the globe,had a lot to say while appearing virtually on a Radio Programme monitored by newsstarlet.
Issues about electoral malpractices, subsidy and encouraging a locally made Nigerian products were some of the key areas the Interpol Consultant touched while profering solutions.

Interpol consultant and Security Expert , Sir Chikwe Udensi has commended Abia State government for encouraging locally made things in Aba and those who are manufacturing them.

Udensi who made this known while speaking on a Radio Programme monitored by newsstarlet stressed the need for government to do more by ensuring creative skills are harnessed and utilized for development of the Country as made in Aba products today are one of the best .

He says many people have the skills and capacity to create a lot of things but have not gotten the needed support from the government who he has should provide the enablers while calling on Nigerians to patronize the locally made things in Aba as it’s good and comparable to products across the World.


“Today , made in Aba Shoes are one of the best. “Let me use this opportunity to commend the Abia State government for encouraging locally made things in Aba, though I have quarreled with a few of the processes they used in doing things.”but generally there’s strength in making sure they encourage those who are manufacturing locally made goods and that is what we should be putting at like today and using a made in Aba shoes and they very good and comparable to anyone around the World.”

Government according to him provides the enablers by making sure some of the processes and manufacturers are encouraged.

The security expert further said that subsidy in Nigeria is a fraud following the inability of government to put to use some modular refineries in some states of the country, adding that the turn around maintenance of the refineries have taken the amount of money that ought to have been used in setting up to 20 refineries .


He added that it is not right for the petroleum products to be refined abroad, stressing that if the refineries are set up in every region of the country ,many investors will come into the Country and will develop.


“Today we have problems in security because the tools are not there. “
“We must do away from this subsidy regime to a regime of manufacturing or producing our crudes in the Country. “
“We should encourage modular refineries we should encourage local manufacturers of crudes and if possible ensure that our own refineries are functioning and functioning well “he added.


He added that it’s unfortunate that the present government promised to use money from subsidy to develop the health and education sector.


The security expert also recalled how a proposal was sent to the Federal government on the need to have a modular refineries in the country while serving as ALGON general secretary which government rejected.
“When I was ALGON general secretary we proposed modular refineries but government rejected it.”


He said it was quite unfortunate that the Federal government is planning to remove subsidy at a time when their regine is about to end.


Udensi further stated that the NNPC has not changed as enormous discrepancies have been identified in various reports emanating from the media over facts and records .
He maintained that government should create a system where the locally made refineries will be able to refine the Petroleum products in the country .


Speaking ahead of the 2023 general election, Udensi called on the law enforcement agencies especially the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission and Independent Corrupt practices and other related offences to ensure that crime illegality that is associated with electoral malpractices or financial crimes are brought to the nearest minimum.
He posited that electoral and Financial crimes must be prosecuted at the appropriate time.
