Member Representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency,Hon. Ginger Onwusibe has disclosed that the welfare of his Constituents are his topmost priority as a Lawmaker at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
Hon.Ginger stated this when he received the members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria,OMPAN,Abia State Chapter at his Isiala Ngwa residence.
He said his quest for quality representation in the National Assembly was as a result of the numerous circumstances that ensued during and after the 2023 election which he eventually won, bearing in mind that he’s major aim is to carry out his Legislative functions in such away it will affect his constituents positively because he has no reason to fail them.
He further reeled out key areas of his intervention since inception into National Assembly which includes,roads construction, renovation of the Stadium, capacity training of some constituents in the areas of Agriculture and building of classrooms.
Speaking on Abia issues,Hon.Ginger gave thumbs up to the governor Dr.Alex Otti in terms of welfare of workers,adding that the current administration of Otti cannot be compared to that of the past administration where there were mismanagement of funds.
He maintained that payments of Salaries and pensions were some primary things which they were clamouring for while in the Peoples Democratic Party that the Governor of Abia State Dr.Alex Otti has been able to fix within a short time in office.
He also stressed the need for the governor to yank off the massive employment witnessed shortly after the previous administration lost election as it was a burden to governor Otti who’s fighting to stabilise the system before more jobs will be created has been seen.
The former State Assembly member while congratulating the Chairman of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria,Promise Uzoma Okoro, described OMPAN election as most transparent and urged the association to always encourage the governor by letting him know where he erred in order to help him to develop Abia.
Hon.Ginger believes by reporting verbatim whatever ills identified in the government without favouring anyone will bring the best of OMPAN in terms of professionalism and standard but stressed that they can as well reach out to the government if there are concerns.
He however noted that the Deputy Speaker’s factor played a vital role in the involvement of Abia Lawmakers in various committees of the National Assembly at present.
Speaking earlier , the Chairman of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria , Abia State Chapter , Promise Uzoma Okoro said the association identified with Hon.Ginger Onwusibe because of his developmental strides while he served from the Local Government Chairman stage to the State House of Assembly and now House of Representatives Member, adding that Ompan are not attack Dogs but wants to build a relationship with men like him who has capacity to deliver on the trust reposed in him by the people.
He further said the association came to support him and want to seek a collaboration that will carry out his people Oriented programmes at the grassroots as he proposed a tour to all his constituency projects.
“We are not going to sell our union but to interface with leaders in order to let them tell their success stories”.
“We enjoy the relationship you have built with the apex leadership of the House of Representatives”.
He enjoined Ginger to communicate with his colleagues the Online Media Practitioners plans to have an interactive sessions with them .
