Our Ohuhu society have been blessed with a solicitous Samaritan who luxuriates in seeing others progress and prosper.
It is inborn in him to help the less privileged in our communities.
Few days ago,a brand new Bajaj truck was delivered to a lucky recipient by High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia.
While handing over the largesse to the recipient,he promised that such poverty alleviation vehicles shall be a continuous exercise as he will be giving it out from time to time as the good Lord will continue to provide.
True to fact,just yesterday High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia (Ihie Ohuhu) re enacted the scene by handing over another brand new one to another lucky beneficiary.
Fairly enough,it was no mean feat in all it’s standards.
In all the nooks and crannies of Ohuhu space,Nwa Abia’s name has permanently remained synonymous with ‘giving’ and ’empowerment’.
The highly respected,exiled Tibetan monk,Dalai Lama extolled the uncommon virtues of love when he surmised thus,’Love and compassion are necessities,not luxuries.
Without them humanity can survive”
High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia is aware that humanity is in dire need of compassion and such can only happen when the well to do adopts proactive empathy to the plight of the less privileged in our communities.
He knew that poverty and lack are walking on four legs in various Ohuhu households and at such needed extensive interventions to ameliorate it.
And truly he has deeply invested his time,resources and goodwill to wipe out squalor in our midst.
Unpretentious in poverty alleviation approach,committed in changing the deteriorating narratives of the less privileged,he has spread his prehensile tentacles in all the facets of empowerment variables,be it education,scholarship grants,skill acquisition schemes,road rehabilitation projects,infrastructure delivery,start up capital grants etc.
Unarguably,Nwa Abia’s touch of humanity has been felt by his people much more than even government presence.
Not done yet,High Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia is still talking tough of doing anything within his reach to eradicate poverty in our midst.
He has other welfarist programs in view that will turn our lives for good.
Such further benevolent plans shall be unfurled soon as the days go by.
