The chairman Abia warriors football club Umuahia Pastor Emeka Iyama,has tasked members of the Abia Online Publishers Organization (OMPAN) to be abjective in their news reportage for the interest of public peace.
Iyama spoke in Umuahia the Abia State capital, shortly after he was confered with an award of the Sports Administrator, by OMPAN during her Annual General Meeting on Saturday.
The veteran Journalist who expressed joy over the award by online media organization, said it will motivate him to do more in the journalism profession.
His words, “I want to thank and appreciate the Ompan for this sound award. It’s an award in my area of core competence.
“It’s an honour well deserved and I want to thank them for finding me fit this award. It will spour me to deliver more in this industry were I have more than four decades experience.
“It a good one, I also encourage ompan members to be professional in their news writing and reportage because of number of audience they reach on a daily basis”.
The pragmatic and visionary Abia Warriors big boss has been active and equally a house hold name in Africa and Nigeria football fraternity for Four Decades.
He was a Sports Journalist, owing to his vast knowledge and experience occupied the position of a former Commissioner of Sports in Abia State, ranks amongst Frontline member of Club owners association, as well as a former Chairman of the Nigeria National league (NNL) and an Ex Director in the LMC.
