Ochiagha Oparaukwu Ibeku Prince Benjamin Benedict Apugo says he expects the 2025 Ibeku New Yam Festival to be something that will leave a lasting memories in the lives of those who resides in Umuahia the State Capital.
Apugo who was interacting with Newsstarlet at his residence says the New Year Festival which is forthcoming shortly after the Izo Ahia Festival was celebrated after Five Decades with be an exciting events to further promote the Ibeku Culture,adding that it will be celebrated greatly in a bigger way than the previous ones.
He urged everyone to grace the occasion while specifically stressing the need for it to be done peacefully without violence and breakdown of Law and order.
Ochiagha as he’s fondly called noted that it is inheritance of him to promote the Culture of his forefathers and maintained that him upholding Ibeku Customs and traditions is to ensure that it does not die to enable the present and next generation learn more about it in order to teach their Children.
