Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has officially welcomed the first Aeroplane in the State.
David Umahi stated Air Peace will operate the first test flights at Ebonyi International Airport on 27-Apr-2023. Mr Umahi said the airline will operate the flights from Abuja and Lagos using 80 seat aircraft.
21-Apr-2023. Ebonyi State’s Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructural Development Frank Ngwu stated flight testing at Ebonyi International Airport is expected to commence in late Apr-2023.
Mr Ngwu said the airport will feature “the single largest terminal building in Nigeria” and “the single biggest apron in Nigeria”. He said the airport will primarily handle cargo aircraft and will be able to accommodate “the biggest aircraft in the world”.
