Ochiagha Oparaukwu Ibeku , Prince Benjamin Benedict Apugo has fixed Thursday ,August 25th ,2022 as the day for the New Yam Festival of Ibeku.
“The New Yam Festival of Ibeku will be on the 25 of August 2022 ,he said.”
“Nobody should create problem because it is celebrated peacefully as I’ve told everyone who wants to come to be sure of eating to satisfaction .”
Apugo who was speaking with Newsstarlet crew, stressed the need for the people of Ibeku to celebrate peacefully because it is a thing of joy and thanksgiving for that special day.
He enjoined everyone to come out emass and be part of the celebration which will take place at Egwu Ibeku in Isi eke.
Ochiagha Oparaukwu Ibeku says the situation of things presently calls for people to avoid crimes , the use of dangerous weapons and creating crisis, adding that there will be plenty to eat during the celebration.
