Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, Special Adviser to the governor of Abia State on Trade and commerce has commended Enyimba International Football Club of Aba for winning the Nigerian Premier league for the Ninth time .
Dr. Chimezie made this known while speaking to newsstarlet, following the recent victory of Enyimba.
He described it as a good omen for the government of Abia State under Dr Alex Otti, adding that the Trophy was the first to the new administration of Dr Alex Otti.
While reacting to the People’s Elephant’s victory at the just concluded 2022/23 NPL Super Six as Champions ,Dr. Chimezie added that the administration of governor Alex Otti will do everything within it’s powers to project Sports in Abia State since it’s something that brings people together.
He also said that the governor is poised to bringing Sports back to it’s glory days in Abia with the aim of grassroots development.
“This administration we are lovers of football and we’ll do everything to project Sports because that’s one thing that brings people together, so sports is a key point”.
“The governor is a Sports lover and he has an S.A on Sports Chinedu Ekeke and he’s a good administrator in Sports”.
“We’re bringing Sports to his original glory in this State”.
“Trade has got do with people, market people and investment had got to do with development and same thing as Sports which got to do with bonding people together”.
Dr Chimezie however,described Dr Felix Anyansi Agwu , Chairman of Enyimba International Football Club as a good football manager and administrator who deserve acknowledgement because of numerous track records in Nigeria .
He maintained that Anyansi Agwu remains the best football administrator in Abia State based on the expertise and qualities he brings when a huge task is placed before him.
“He still remains the best in Abia State because he knows how to coordinate things to it’s original glory”.
“He’s a great man ,he’s a good administrator , he’s a good manager”.
“You know I call him a good manager reason is he knows how to coordinate the activities to achieve good results with little or no assistance”.
“You know he’s a guy who knows exactly what he wants. he’s a guy who really knows how football is being played in Nigeria”.
“I think for now he remains the best in terms of Sports in Abia State”.
