BYU Pathway Global Education has opened a top-notch educational centre in Lagos, Nigeria to provide access to spiritually-based US degrees that can be completed in as little as three years online, and significantly reduce cost.
So far, about 74,000 students in over 180 countries have benefited from the initiative.
The company said anyone can apply for its programmes at its Lagos centre and benefit from opportunities such as scholarships.
With sponsorship from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the leadership of BYU-Pathway Worldwide unveiled the centre at a ceremony attended by church leaders, invited guests, students and others.
President of BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Brian Ashton, said the centre is one of the gifts of the institution to Nigeria. “We welcome students of our faith as well as those not of our faith to come join us,” he said.
