Rt.Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu has been declared the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Innuaguarated by Sani Tambuwal, the clerk of House of Assembly.
Kalu was returned unopposed as he was described as a great Legislator .
Miriam Onuoha who was one of the strong contenders in the Deputy Speakership race had earlier today stepped down for the Abia born Law-maker who has over time in the House enjoyed a goodwill amongst his colleagues.
Benjamin Kalu has been a local Government Chairman and a Commissioner in Abia State.
