As part of activities to mark the 72nd birthday celebration of elder Mrs Margaret Ukeagu, mother of the Founder, Connak Foundation, Mr Kenneth Nnamdi Ukeagu, several donations were made to further add glamour to the event.
A 135kva Generator set was given to Madonna hospital, including the offset of hospital bills of some patients who could not pay their accumulated bills which amounts to millions.
About One Million, nine hundred and twenty six thousand naira. 1,926,000 were paid to clear off the debts.
The founder of the foundation Mr Kenneth Ukeagu made the donations during the celebration of his mother’s birthday shortly after the activities of the outreach programme at the hospital complex.
He gave a debt clearance as a 72nd birthday present to his Mum , to four patients in the hospital who were unable to pay their bills after treatment.
Amongst the beneficiaries are Baby Chetachi Chinonyerem #511,000,Mrs Iroha Ngozi #400,000,Okonkwo Chioma #975,000 and Ogbonna Cordelia #40,000
Ukeagu further gave them monies to aid their return to their respective homes.
Mr Ukaegbu also appreciated the Matron of the hospital, the Founder for her efforts in running the affairs of the Hospital.
Elder Mrs Ukeagu who lauded the philanthropic gestures of her son, expressed excitement on the birthday present and described it as the best birthday present that replicates her passion for humanity.
In appreciation, The administrator of Madonna hospital Rev. Father Godfrey Agu thanked the management of Connak Foundation for their kind gestures, supports, encouragement and help to humanity, while asking that God bless Elder Mrs Ukeagu as she celebrate yet another beautiful year.
He went further to promise the Organisation that the management of Madonna Catholic Hospital will name the extension of the building upon completion after Connak Foundation Building.
