Otti’s Emergence A Sign Of Liberation And Abia Rebirth -B.B Apugo

Ochiagha Oparaukwu Ibeku, Prince Benjamin Benedict Apugo has described the emergence of Dr Alex Otti as the governor of Abia State as a liberation and total rebirth for the State.

Apugo who disclosed this in his thank you message to Abians , expressed joy that the fight for a new Abia has yielded results.

“This looks like the creation of Abia State, I’m looking at it that way and some of my friends are seeing it that way too.”

“Since the creation of Abia State, noting has changed because the same house that the Military administrators lived are the same place Orji Uzor Kalu,T.A Orji and Ikpeazu lives and it is from now that we will look for a government house and a State capital to be developed.”

“It is a total liberation and rebirth for Abia and hope for all Abians.”

He lauded the roles Umuahia North , his LGA played towards bringing the new leadership in the State by scoring the highest number of votes.

“I feel very happy,I feel fulfiled like everyone of you everybody feel very happy.”
“It’s my home I’m from here.”

“Those Three local governments you mentioned they are one three in one even though Umuahia North gave the highest vote in the whole of Abia State Ikwuano Umuahia they’re all Umuahia.”

“We are the most cheated people because we didn’t smell anything like development.”

“I know there is no other place in Abia there was development but we suffered most but we’re in the State Capital.”

“I’m thanking everybody in the sense that they headed to my voice and I told them that their efforts and sacrifices will not be in vain.”

He further attributed the March 18th victory of Labour Party Guber Candidate,Alex Otti to the intelligent shown by the people whom he said were being threatened by those who have held the State hostage for the past 24 years.

“Abians now have shown that they are intelligent people. They were being threatened for saying the truth.”

The people he said created the government and cannot be patient again every good things are in their hands.

The Ibeku Custodian also assured Abians of optimum benefits from the new administration,as he added that infrastructure decay and unemployment will be a thing of the past .

He maintained that they will reap the fruits of their labour, having fought so hard to elect Dr Alex Otti whom he believes has all the characteristics of a governor that Abians required in this challenging moment.

“They voted for themselves and their future, therefore the must reap the fruits of their labour.”

He believes that the administration of Dr.Alex Otti will attract investors in the State and in turn give Abians who left the opportunity to return to develop and restablish in the State.

“When Otti takes over , you’ll find out that people will be rushing to Abia to develop.”
“Even Abians who ran away because of the type of government that has existed here for 24 years will return.”

“Those that ran away will now start thinking about coming home because there’s no place in Nigeria now that you stay that is your home and will not do business even in your bedroom and you’ll do your business and office work.”

“I would have been disappointed because it is not supposed to have gone any other way. Would it have gone to people who have caged the State for 24 years.”

He advised the civil servants in the State to embrace the new leadership and support the government to succeed in it’s quest to make Abia by avoiding fake documentation in their various offices as the new government sets to take off.

He further called on the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia(BCA)to avoid falsehood in their news activities in a bid to portray the government in a good light.

He said the failed people will not be in the new government rather the people who wants Abia to move forward should be encouraged , saying that Otti ‘s vast leadership experience and exposure internationally in different capacity as a leader will be deployed for the benefit of Abia State.
