Be Part Of The Fight For Good Governance In Abia,Emenike Charges Media Practitioners

The governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress High Chief Ikechi Emenike has called on the media practitioners in Abia State to be part of the struggle for good governance in the State.


Emenike who gave the charge while interacting with Abia Online Media Practitioners at his residence,stated that Abia has been destroyed through bad leadership that has held it to ransom for over Twenty years.


He maintained that the fight for the liberation of the State requires everyone’s efforts including the media practitioners who are no exception to the poverty situation so far experienced.


“As your colleague in the media industry I feel confident to speak with you.”
“Make sure you vote before embarking on news reportage.”


“If Abia is bad you’re all part of the suffering ,Media also bear the brunt of bad governance in terms of poor renumeration.”


While he added that his quest for the governorship race is do things that are totally different from what have been done before and making sure workers and teachers are paid their entitlements as well as provide the basic infrastructure that the people so desires for development.


“Our manifesto says to rescue and develop Abia.”


“We want to do things that are totally different from what have been done before,he said.


Emenike also said that there’s a general consensus about bad governance in Abia as some of those in the Guber race has one link or the other to those who have destroyed the state.


He also stressed the need for everyone to join forces with the All Progressives Congress to boot out the bad governance, adding that the evil ones are not those in bad leadership but the Electorates who would not participate in election to ensure good governance is enthroned.


“Evil people will not destroy the World but those who laid back and watch things go wrong will destroy it.”


The Guber Candidate also assured Abians of his readiness to fight corruption, saying his administration will give zero tolerance to embezzlement and other acts of financial recklessness in the State.


“Corruption has gotten so deep in the State that is at the heart of my bid to become governor because of corruption.”


He added that he has assembled a formidable team of experts who’ll help to move the State forward.


Emenike believes that every sector of development requires a holistic approach as he doesn’t intend to focus on one major key area in his developmental strides.


“It’ll be a diservice to pick one sector for development because the challenge is that Abia has decayed holistically and you must approach the challenge of Abia in the best eye view.”


He promised to increase the size of Abia budget while he expressed confidence that human capacity development.


“The major problem is to increase the size of Abia budget which called physical reingeneering.”
“We want to create a new budget for Abia development .”


Reacting to the internal wrangling within the APC camp,he added that even the PDP has more fundamental problems than the APC as that is part of the contentious nature of politics.
