The commissioner for Trade and Commerce John Okiyi Kalu has reacted to the emergence of Okey Ahiwe as the standard bearer of the People’s Democratic Party in Abia State.
He believes the party has selected for Abians the kind of leader that they need in Okey Ahiwe.
Okiyi who spoke to journalists shortly after the exercise, lauded the process of the primary election, saying that the victory of Ahiwe has generated love across the State because he is a man widely accepted by all.
He added that with Okey Ahiwe , victory for the PDP in the forthcoming Guber election in Abia State will be seamless.
While he enjoined those who lost out in the contest to join hands with Ahiwe to ensure the victory of PDP by March as he also prayed Professor Uche Ikonne ‘s soul continue rest in perfect peace.
“We thank God that we have gotten to this point -in fact,there’s love across the whole of Abia State as he emerged.”
