The Peoples Democratic Party Guber Candidate Okey Ahaiwe has described his victory in the just concluded governorship primary election in Abia State as a victory for Abia PDP.
Ahaiwe who pulled 469 votes out of 516 ballots counted as against his closet rivals Ude Okochukwu and Mayor Lucky Igbokwe with 12 votes each,encouraged all other contestants that lost out in the election to join hands to enable the party win the upcoming guber election in the State.
He thanked the delegates and all the party leaders who consulted widely from Abia North to the Central down to the South as he maintained that the right thing has been done by ceeding the PDP Guber ticket back to Isiala Ngwa North.
“Our party through consensus building has produced a candidate that has united the party and we are going to get stronger.”

According to the returning officer , Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, the election produced 12 invalid votes.
