The Governorship Candidate of the People’s Redemption party,Lady Nma Lancaster Okoro has said that her quest to contest as Abia State governor was born out of numerous challenges of dilapidated infrastructure and poverty that have ravaged the State.
She says her worth of experience and ideas in various professional background will bring development in the State if she becomes governor.
Lancaster who spoke to newsmen while enlisting some of her programmes ,added that her administration will focus on Education and Agriculture because it will help to empower the people of the State.
“We are going to concentrate on making Agriculture a fulcrum of our economy.”
She noted that Agriculture will be the main stay of the State’s economy because of the fetile land in Abia through farm settlement investments, insisting that she will invest more in mechanized Agriculture .

She frowned the level of underdevelopment as Politicians have taking advantage of the people in the State by not fulfilling their electoral promises.
On the aspect of salaries of civil servants and pensioners ,lancaster promised to use her first 100 daysin office to ensure the commencement of the payment of salaries and also strive to fish out ghost workers through proper data collection.
She expressed believe that her presence as governor will motivate the women in Abia , saying that Women across the World are making difference in the polity.
“I know it’s the time for Women, I know if you look around you’ll see the difference Women are making across the globe.”
“My parents were not politicians but some how had a hand in some development in the country.
She maintained that Local Government will be independent and their activities must be supervised if she becomes Abia governor as that will be the only way development can be made in the State.
Lancaster said she had faced numerous threats forcing her to give up her ambition,to govern the state but posits that she’s is not going to withdraw from the race,as her desire is to see Abia’s development.
