Sir Chikwe Udensi has called on Nigerians to make necessary sacrifices to move the country forward as the 2023 election is very vital for the future and development of the Country.
The Interpol Consultant who was in a Radio Programme monitored by newsstarlet on Wednesday 23, November 2022 , added that the adoption of technology will be key in ensuring the smooth running of 2023 election.
He said that he has donated a Hitech equipment to the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, adding that his recent donation and initiative of technology monitor is to help INEC to conduct credible election in the Country .
“You know that we have to do something different this time around,if people like me does not put our resources,put our intellects together to make sure that we have it right this time around our country will suffer for a longtime there’s no doubt about that.”
“You know that voter registration has gone digital and you also know that voting right now even the transmission of results has gone electronic.”
“Since that process has gone electronic, it is also important that other processes associated with these activities must be in line with the operational technologies that exists,what I mean is that if it’s manual we go manual ;if it goes digital we must go digital in other words,we must be in tandem with technology.”
The security expert added that the 2023 election is very important in the country as the untold hardship experienced at both local ,State and Federal Government requires enormous sacrifices by everyone who have been clamoring for change,as he maintained that the technology in place for Peter Obi is to ensure 176 thousand polling units and Eight Thousand wards around the country is supervised in order to avert electoral malpractices and all forms of fraud in all the polling boots, especially in some flash points.
Udensi said that there will be monitoring drones and information dissemination,while expressing believe that those special technologies will help INEC carry out their functions effectively as that will place Nigerians on the safe part of selecting their leaders without fear of being intimidated.
