In less than 48 hours for the conduct of the main presidential election in the country by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, and the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Abia state, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, on Thursday, canvassed support for rhe emergence of the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.
Newsstarlet recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission had in 2022, fixed february 25th 2023 for conduct of the presidential and national assembly elections in Nigeria.
The commission also announced March 11th, 2023 for conduct of the Governorship and state houses of Assembly elections in many federating states of the country.
However, Dr Ogah who was also an ex-Abia Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress during the concluded 2019 general elections in Nigeria while earlier soliciting support to the presidential flagbearer of the governing APC, opined that Senator Tinubu possessed the needed capacity, requisite competence, versatility and expertises having demonstrated these leadership attributes as then federal legislators Governor of Lagos state and national leader of our great party,
He noted Tinubu has remained in thr forefront on several calls by the majority of Nigeria for enthronment of effective and responsive leadership in every sections of the country so as to engender economic and Infrastructural growths towards improving the people’s welfare.
According to Dr Ogah, “one need not to be told that Ashiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has played significant roles in nation-biilding, and fostering economic and political stability in the country.
There’s no doubts Senator Bola Tinubu understand fundamental problems likewise our amiable President, Muhammadu Buhari who has recorded giant and impressive strides such as improved security architecture, improved standard of education and healthcare delivery system, construction of massive road Infrastructure, improved mechanized system of agriculture which has fostered food security and sufficiency.
“Also achieved by President Muhammadu Buhari for past 7 years of since assumption of office includes functional railway system, enhanced welfare packages for federal workers and retirees, greatet improvement in the area of Internally generated revenue under Nigeria’s mines and steel sector, creation of massive jobs and employment of Indigent citizens of this country into federal ministries, departments and agencies(MDAs), and inclusion of every ethnic nationalities in governennt’s formulation of meaningful policies and implementation of impactful programmes, and too numerous to mention due to want of space”.
Continuing, Ogah confided that the anticipating victory of Senator Bola Tinubu would give room for the incoming feseral government of the APC to consolidate on numerous developmental gains already achieved by the outgoing administration when elected into office in this upcoming Saturday presidential poll.

The foremost Abia-born industrialist cum entrepreneur, urged eligible voters in the state and entire country to queue behind the APC presidential flagbearer and cast their votes to all candidates of the party contesting other elective politcal positions in order to engender needed dividends of democracy to every localities and doorsteps of the people.
While further confiding that the ex-lagos governor will not disappoint the citizens when elected as Nigerian President on Saturday 25th february, 2023 by the special grace of God, Ogah therefore used the medium to call on the independent National Electoral Commission to ensure adequate provision of required logistics and manpower to achieve hitch and violence- free execrise that will in turn, be acceptable to all participants.
