The Candidate of the Young Progressive Party for Obingwa ,Osisioma and Ugwunabo Federal Constituency in the 2023 Presidential Election,Hon.Micheal Ibe Nwoke has called on Nigerians to rally round the renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to move the nation forward.
Michael who was speaking at his Obingwa residence said that the time for politics have gone and what is expected of everyone is to bring his best ideas and contributions to drive a process of progress and development which is sacrosanct in making Nigeria and Abia great again.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to come together as a people to find a way to change their stories by helping the leadership at both Federal and State to move out from it’s present ugly state.
“Every well meaning Abian or Nigeria entirely should understand that politics must have come and gone , what we’re looking for now is a way to change our story,so we have a President and we have a governor”.
“What I’ll ask everybody is to que in the leadership agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the government of Alex Otti in Abia State”.
While thanking his supporters from Obingwa,Osisioma and Ugwunabo for their steadfastness and keeping faith with him since his journey to represent them at the Federal House of Representative and the litigation that follows ,Hon.Michael added that their bond with him did not end because election was lost or in Court as it seem but a new beginning of greater things to come.
He urged them to be hopeful for more goods to come, saying that he acknowledged their efforts to ensure the party recorded success in the last election but maintained that Abia State government under Dr Alex must be supported to succeed,since politics is now over.
He noted that his quest to go into Federal House of Representatives was not personal but to ensure achievements for all his constituents especially the less privileged and downtrodden who could not have a voice to speak for them.
Reacting on the insecurity bedeviling the South East,Hon Michael Ibe called for a better approach,firstly,to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, while describing his continuous detention as the reason for major insurgence and insecurity experienced in the South East today.
He further warned that the people must trade with caution as they strive to work out the modalities towards Kanu’s release and avoid using the wrong approach because of his belief in President Tinubu’s leadership capacity to do right.
“We must find a better approach,one, Federal Government as they’re in charge should find a way to consider the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”.
He also called on the people to keep faith with the South East governors whom he said are gradually working to ensure peace is sustained in the region.
