Sir Chikwe Udensi has enjoined the Ohaneze Youth Council,Abia State Chapter to stand up to their responsibilities by ensuring they help in bringing good leadership in Abia.
Udensi stated this while addressing the Abia State Chapter of the Ohanaeze Youth Council of the organization who paid him a courtesy call at his All Progressives Grand Alliance office in Umuahia.
He described as unfortunate,the low voter’s records of Youths as it’s shown in Abia State ,while he frowned at the disunity amongst the Igbo’s and their inability to obtain their PVC’s which according to him is the power to vote in good leadership for quality governance in the country.
The security expert frowned at the rate Igbo’s slack when it comes to things that will benefit them ,stressing that people from other regions always show capacity in profitable things that concerns their development.
Giving his assurance to the Sensitization of voter’s registration in the State , Udensi maintained that he’ll do everything within his reach to encourage people to participate in the exercise.
He said that his palliative programmes with the pensioners and elderly will continue as promised .
“We need to sensitize our people on voter’s registration because other States have been registering massively.”
“Live me with pensioners,they are my friends and I’ll make sure I continue my programme with them”
Chikwe who blammed the Abia State government for poverty and crime in the State said he will create a livable wage to enable young people acquire skills if he becomes a governor of Abia State as everything seem to be unorganised in the State because of government’s insensitivity in providing the basic amenities and welfare to citizens.
The Interpol consultant expressed delight in APGA as a Party that will bring about good leadership in Abia State,citing examples of Anambra State who have enjoyed massive progress since the inception of the party’s leadership in that State.
He said that government is going into regions and at such the South East cannot afford to be deprived from following the trend.
The unity of the South East he says is key to quality leadership and development in every sector of the economy, lamenting that Abia State had been backwards due to poor leadership and that he has availed himself the opportunity to governor the State.
Stressing the importance of Women in the society,he called for them to be given a sense of belonging in terms of leadership positions in the country, adding that Abia State should emulate what is happening in other State by ensuring that Women duly participated in the polity.
He promised to bring in an organized structure that will enhance development in terms of competence and standard in the State.
In his vote of thanks,unbehalf of the group ,the State Chairman Ohaneze Youth Council Okezie Obioma Okezie ,pledged their support for Sir Chikwe Udesi whom he said has strengthened them through admonition on how to protect the intergrity of the Igbo race and by constantly sensitizing the people to get involved in voter’s registration for the betterment of the South East region.
He said that Abia State has been in need of a quality leadership , maintaining that the personality such as Sir Chikwe Udensi is a better option which can help in saving it from the ruins of bad governance it had long suffered.
