A security expert Sir Chikwe Udensi has called for enabling reacting on love Fm Radio , monitored by newsstarlet to the recent attack of the Kaduna Railways by bandits and other associated issues where so many people were set to be missing, said it’s unfortunate to hear such an incident happening in Kaduna ,a State with the presence of Nigerian Army ,Police and other security men.
He stressed the need for Federal Government to rise up to the occasion and rejig the system in order to put in place a formidable security apparatus.
“There’s need for proper security apparatus in the country,he said”
Reacting to the recently concluded convention of the All Progressives Congress ,the Interpol consultant added that the APC convention could not be adjuged a democratic process, saying that most of the people at the convention spoke about yielding to what the President had said.
“There was no Democracy in APC convention”they talked about yielding to the choices of Mr President”.
Udensi while speaking about the recent assertion of Professor Uche Ikonne,the former Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, been endorsed by Ukwalangwa people as a concensus candidate to become the Governor of Abia State ,24 hours the Chairman of the people’s Democratic Party in Abia ,zoned the governorship position to Abia North and Central,posited that the yardstick for endorsing a candidate for the position of number one citizen in the State as a Governor should be basically on competence ,capacity,character ,track records of credibility in virtually so many aspects of his life.
He maintained that there was lack of proper procedure in the endorsement of Ikonne, adding that inquiries from records showed that Ikonne has not contributed anything as an Academic even in his own profession.
“If you listen to what was coming out from even the Ukwalangwa people ,they said we were endorsing him because the Governor chose him.”
“I was listening to hear that they were endorsing him because he has capacity,he has motivation ,he has character,look at what he did in ABSU while he was the Vice Chancellor.While he was VC in ABSU ,Salaries were paid on time, infrastructure in the school improved, Academic programmes improved and the institution became the best in Nigeria but non of such could be said of him”
He wondered why an attempt to defraud Abians their mandates through improper means but vowed to ensure things are right if he becomes the governor of Abia State .
