
The recipient of Zik’s award in Innovations and Creativity ,a fellow of ethical leadership University of Nigeria Nsukka ,decried the ravaging situation; the issues of insecurity in Nigeria especially in the nation’s Capital Territory Abuja is so worrisome ,he said.
Udensi who made this known on a Radio station he joined virtually while responding to the recent attacks on the Presidential Guards Brigade in Abuja on Monday , as monitored by newsstarlet,noted that the attack shows there are more to what the terrorists plans to do and may destroy the Country if nothing is urged done to arrest the challenge.
He added that there have been several intelligent reports from security experts which security agencies in the country failed to utilize.
Udensi said Abuja could be in the State of Borno if nothing is done to beef up security arrangements in the area as the constant attacks have created fear amongst the residents due to its reoccurrence within the FCT.
“If we do not allow a situation where there is a solid and proper presence of security forces in Abuja area there could be problem .”
“The current situation right now in Abuja… if a Daniel does not come to judgment ,if there’s no proper security arrangements ,if there’s no proper apparatus put in place,Abuja might be one of the cities in Borno State.”
He called on government to ensure tools and welfare of security agencies are provided as it will be difficult to expect a high level of patriotism from someone who cannot fulfill the needs of his family ,while also stressing that the repentant Boko Haram who joined military were some of the reasons the country is engulfed into crisis of insecurity .
Udensi said the present circumstances bedeviling the Country should be a thing of concern to the Federal Government need not to treat with kids glove.
He further stated that insecurity sprang up through the proliferation of arms and ammunitions said to have been acquired from the Libya’s looted ammunitions, incorporation of repented Boko Haram persons into the Nigerian Army, porousness of the Nigerian borders as a result of numerous mistakes and ignorance to intelligence gatherings and warnings by security experts to security agencies in the country.
The security expert maintained that the government must adjust income for the economic benefit for all in order take crimes away.
Reacting to the de-accreditation of Abia State Polytechnic by the National Board of Technical Education ,the Interpol Consultant said it was ridiculous for a man who had contributed to the ruins of that institution when he was saddled with responsibilities is now prepared to govern Abia State by those who don’t mean well for the State without good track records.
He added that the lack of proper oversight function by the government and failure on every parts necessitated the current situation of Abia Poly as to what the real position ought to be, saying that incompetent people were employed into the institution, thereby taking it to a dilapidated state.
“What government does was to provide subvention to the institutions and asked them to internally generate their own revenues to run.”
“If you leave the management of an institution in the hands of someone who is incompetent …to the hands of a man who is interested in egoism the tendency is that the institution will go down.”
He added that the Abia State College of Technical Education , Arochukwu did not take off with a good management strategy as findings could reveal, adding that the government’s inability to get the right leadership in running it’s affairs in virtually every sector has ruined the State and deprived it the needed development.
