Interpol consultant and Security Expert ,Sir Chikwe Udensi continued his Abia North Tour at Elu Ohafia on Sunday,22 May 2022 ahead of the governorship primary election of the All Progressive Grand Alliance.
While addressing the large number of people in Elu Ohafia, the recipient of Zik’s award on Innovation, says he’s aware of the problems that are steering on the faces of Abians as he expresses readiness to work to bring massive development if elected governor of the State.
Sir Chikwe Udensi also stressed the need for APGA to ensure an elligible and eminently qualified candidate who will work across board to redeem the State from the shackles of poverty and underdevelopment is giving the ticket of the party so as to secure the victory come 2023.
He added that he knows well the history and formation of APGA 21 years ago as he was one of the pioneers who donated monies that kept the party afloat and was honoured with a shield as “a builder for the support of APGA “before the advent of hijackers because he has the capacity to reposition Abia.
Udensi says he’s confident that he will become the governor of Abia State by 2023 no matter the handiworks of detractors and cannot watch some persons with ulterior motives come and spoil the party in Abia .
The security expert says the party had often suffered destruction by those who comes from other political parties, citing examples of what happened in 2010, 2019 and now are back for 2023, while he charged the party fatefuls to beware.
He promised to give Women a sizeable position if he becomes the governor of Abia State, as it’s evident the qualities they posses can never be underestimated judging from some developed Countries of the World like Britain and Isreal where Women’s impacts were felt as presidents.
Chikwe enjoined the Ohafia delegates not to allow infiltrators destroy the legacies of the founding fathers who had toiled to keep the party afloat, calling on them to make use of their Permanent Voter’s Registration Card which in his words means “please vote Chikwe”.
He said his quest to contest for the governor of Abia State was borne out of the poor infrastructural development ,lack of payment of Salaries to workers and pensioners whom he said deserved government’s attention for rendering meritorious services as senior citizens and expresses worry that they lack medical care.
The All Progressive Grand Alliance governorship Aspirant promised to bring the state out of bad shape and said his programme for pensioners and elderly will be sustained.
He said, “The fight to save Abia from the hand of her present crop of leaders is not a fight that you will send a weak person to undertake.
“The person that is capable of rewriting our story is Chikwe Udensi, I need your support for this fight and that support is that all us must ensure that we have our PVCS.
“We must ensure that Abia moves forward. We need good roads, sound education, equity health care,. Pront payment of salaries, pensions and gratuity.
“The last time gratuity was paid in Abia state was in 2001and many people have died with getting theirs. That was why I started by giving palliative to pensioners to help improve their well being.
He said a leader must govern with the fear of God.
“We will still do more in that aspect. If our leaders have the fear of God, they won’t withhold the pensions of those poor pensioners for 38 months, while other states in the South East are paying their regularly.
“For this reason I call you all to support my ambition to move Abia state forward, we need the support of everyone including the women and youths. The women are important because they great builders of the homes and communities”.
