Ensure Productivity In Your Academic Pursuit Of Education Trust Fund Programme,Hon Dennis Tasks Students Of His Constituency

The member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly cum the House Committee Chairman on Agriculture Hon.Dennis on Saturday called on parents and guardians of pupils and students in the primary, secondary and tertiary institutions to que into his Legislative Agenda of eradicating illiteracy in Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency but utilizing the programme.(Education Trust Fund).

He made this known during the official launching and unveiling of Ugwumba Education Trust Fund at Group Primary School, Omoba Isiala Ngwa South LGA.

He stated that his educational policy is that every Isiala Ngwa South child must be educated.

The Lawmaker also informed the audience that this is not the first time, he is embarking on bursary awards to pupils and students.

In his opening remarks, the Board Chairman of Ugwumba Education Trust Fund, Eze Adindu PhD informed the audience that Hon. Dennis has been empowering people without noise. He noted that Leadership is about responsibility and responsibility is for the grassroot. He also noted that every successful leader should focus on education, healthcare and security, which is very paramount.

He thanked God that Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency is blessed to have a very humble and an uncommon Legislator, who is not proud and arrogant, and always ready to deliver true dividends of democracy to the grassroot.

He stated that the composition of the Ugwumba Education Trust Fund is made up of intellectuals with great potentials and capacity.

The Ugwumba Education Trust Fund will begin with primary and secondary school pupils/students, where quiz, debates, distribution of books and school bags and other educational materials will be distributed, thereby revitalizing the spirit of competition in our public and private schools.

The trust fund is for all eligible constituents in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, devoid of political affiliation.

He further stated that there are categories of people who will benefit in the fund; indigent pupils/students and also students whose academic performance is excellent because Hon. Dennis want to reward academic excellence.

He also made it known that the Trust Fund will cover payment of fees of primary school pupils, registration of WAEC and JAMB to students seeking admission and students currently in the tertiary institutions of Isiala Ngwa South origin.

The forms will be distributed from First week of November, 2023 to last week of November 2023 which is free of charge at various strategic locations of the four (4) political blocks in Isiala Ngwa South LGA.

In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Gabriel Onyendilefu expressed his gratefulness for this innovative endowment and encouraged Hon. Dennis to continue in his good work.

Also speaking, Sir Obinna Odoemenam said that Education brings development to the society. He further stated that Ngwa nation is blessed in all walks of life and encouraged pupils and students to make good use of the endowment fund.

Also speaking, Hon. Ugochukwu Collins Iheonunekwu (Ochake) encouraged Hon. Dennis to continue in his might and urge pupils and students present at the occasion to make their studies very serious and promised to support the endowment.

Hon. Jude Nneji in his closing remarks expressed gratitude to those who honoured their invitation and affirmed that the Board will carry out their duties effectively and efficiently in the selection process and prayed for journey mercies.
