Abia APC Stakeholder Petitions Onyejeocha Over Anti-Party Activities In Abia

A Stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress , Chief William Nwanguma has called the attention of the National leadership of the Party on the Anti-Party Activity of Nkiruka Onyejeocha, the Honorable Minister of State for Labour and Employment.

It was further reported on Friday, the 28th day of February, 2025, at a State road flag off event at Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, which the Honorable Minister attended being her LGA where she expressed her support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti for a second term and called on the traditional rulers and people of Umunneochi to support and work for the Governor’s second term in office.

Nwanguma however noted that the Governor of Abia State, not being a member of APC does not earn the call and canvassing for re-election by a former Deputy Chief Whip of the 9th House of Representatives and a member of the Federal Executive Council of Nigeria elected and appointed respectively under the platform of the Party should not embark on an anti-party activity.

He added that the conduct of Honourable Onyejeocha is not only embarrassing to him alone but also to other well meaning members of the party in the state and the nation at large.

He called on the APC National Chairman, call Nkiruka Onyejeocha to order as her conduct and utterances of if not condemned and sanctioned by the Party will have adverse consequences in the party’s quest to win the 2027 general elections, adding that it will paint a picture of a state chapter that is not interested in winning local and national elections and thereby engender hatred, contempt, ridicule and disrepute for our party.

He maintained that Abia State APC remains the fastest growing State chapter of the party as majority of opposition parties have collapsed under her to unseat the Governor in the face of his non-performance and personalization of governance.

It is therefore sad, disheartening, inglorious, and wickedly for the Honorable Minister to not only harbor such a thought but also express same against a Party that the State Executive, Leaders, Stakeholders and Members are working hard to bring to winning ways.”

Chief Nwanguma however called on the National Working Committee of APC through to use their good office to look into the Anti-Party Activities objectively and hand down appropriate sanctions in the event it finds merit in his petition so as to serve as deterrent to those who may want to toe same this ugly path in the build up to the 2027 general election.
